This website serves as a central link to the projects of Andy Kass, a research geophysicist with the US Geological Survey. The projects incorporate many different goals with multiple institutions, but all share the fundamental belief that, wherever possible, the software developed should be free and open source. Therefore, most of the software described, hosted, or linked here falls under the GPLv3 or BSD licenses.
Some current, highlighted projects are listed below. Please excuse the dust as this website is under construction.
Andy was recently quoted in a USGS press release concerning the Decorah Impact Structure. Read the press release here.
The NGX.n file format for surface nuclear magnetic data has been released. Please visit the software page for more information.
